Walk into the Torch Bar & Grill on any given day, and you'll see it — plate after plate of our signature Torch Burger making its way from the kitchen to eager hands. But this isn't just any burger. It's a piece of Flint history.

The Torch Burger was born in the 1950s, when the bar was still finding its identity as a downtown gathering spot. The original recipe was simple: fresh ground beef, quality cheese, crispy bacon, and a special sauce that's remained unchanged for over six decades.

What makes it legendary isn't just the taste — it's the consistency. Every Torch Burger you eat today is made the exact same way it was made when your grandparents might have ordered one. Same bun. Same technique. Same love.

Over the years, we've had offers to franchise, to mass-produce the sauce, to expand into other cities. We've said no every time. Some things are meant to stay exactly where they are, made exactly how they've always been made.
